Since 2014, I am a part of an open to public street painting project that I have been leading. My intention regarding this collaborative effort was to draw and paint with dry pigments (colour chunks) using the roads of the city as a surface, like a street performer. The working process had to be quick and open to improvisation due to random inclusion of participants and images. The vocabulary that grew from such an open format of image making astonished me with the results and the layers of commentary made through projection of completely unrelated images by strangers – all accumulating into creating a single narration. This project is one of the most unique efforts that I have been involved in.
